Monday nights are the nights that Jeremy hosts trivia at a bar in Allston, so I am left to my own devices and that usually leads to me staying up too late and wasting time on the internet, as you can see by the very late hour of this post.

Anyway, I was thinking about a post I read today on my favorite wedding/wife related blog Accordions and Lace about how mundane it feels to be married (or almost married in my case). Not mundane in a bad way, but mundane in a wonderful “this is just my life” kind of way. It still amazes me. I am not one that likes change at all, so I have always been surprised by how life changes with Jeremy have been so smooth. He makes me feel comfortable and even though I might protest to the changes, I know I am capable of them with him at my side. After the intial sticker shock (OMG I have to give up my single girl life) of choosing a mate, and then the brief buyers remorse (Sweet Jesus he really is obessed with sports!) of agreeing to spend my life with him (by the way I think both those feelings are very normal in small doses), life has become the way I always wanted it: simple and loving. I LOVE living with my best friend, and I now look back on my adult life before him and it seems so gray and sad compared to now. I feel so, so lucky.

So, why do we have a blog on our wedding website you ask? Well Jeremy and I both enjoy writing and we are far away from a lot of our friends and family so we wanted a place to share our thoughts and stories with you. We are not exactly sure what we will write about yet, and you can expect very different things from Jeremy’s posts versus my posts. I might wax poetic on the joys and trials of relationships or talk about the decorations we picked out. He will most likely entertain you with his witty commentary on life or hold forth on sports trivia.

We might even keep this website going after we get married in hopes that our blog will make us famous and we can live on a beach somewhere with our macs and iphones!
